Employment & Individuals Living with HIV

U.S. Department of Labor Resources:

1. Plan ahead as early as possible before your actual move by handling some of the work over the phone before you get there.

Speak with a knowledgeable Benefits Case Manager who knows what programs are available to you.

2. Know and document your current health benefits including your eligibility requirements:

  • proof of HIV diagnosis
  • proof of residency in Clark, Nye or Mohave counties
  • proof of income

This is important because state programs differ and may not offer the same coverage. Your case manager can now compare what you currently have to what is available here in Las Vegas!

3. Finalize your employment, transportation and housing situation!

These are more interconnected than you think!
